I was introduced to painting on silk in 1984 and was hooked immediately. It combined my love of painting with my love of fabrics and sewing. I have taken various silk dyeing and fabric painting workshops and short courses at Vancouver's Opulence Silks and Dyes and Maiwa Handprints and have taken four one-week courses from Bill Morton of Calgary, who studied the art of Rozome (the Japanese Wax Technique) in Japan for many years. I have also read and experimented extensively.

My inspiration comes from the beauty of our island. Many of my paintings reflect the ocean, the woods and the gardens that surround us.
I am a member of Silk Painters International.
