From her studio on Vancouver Island, Gloria creates innovative Fibre Art for both private and public patrons. She teaches and demonstrates at textile forums and art gallery workshops. Her works combine traditional methods with contemporary design and materials. Gloria is well known for her ability to capture the essence and spiritual message of her subjects.

In 2003, Gloria was chosen as an example of excellence in Design by the Embroiderers' Guild of America and was exhibited in Rye Brook, New York. Her works are often two and three dimensional wall hangings or panels created of fibre and mixed media.

She studied Design and Embroidery with the City & Guilds Institute of London, England and was elected to the Embroiderers Association of Canada and serves as a Director for the Prairie/Pacific Region.

An active member of the fibre arts community in British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario, she won the Northcott Silk Inc. challenge in 2002.

Gloria has taught at Malaspina University/College, Gibson's Landing Fibre Festival, North Island College Fibre Arts Symposium, and for the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria in their contemporary Art Program - "New Extreme".

Gloria's work, including commissions, are held in private collections in the United States, Canada and Japan.
